Iran-Turkiye Bilateral Trade Reaches US$921 Million In 2M 2023

Turkiye’s Statistical Department has announced that the countries bilateral trade volume with Iran in the first two months of the current year (January-February) has reached US$921 million.

According to this report, Turkiye’s exports to Iran during this period hit US$471 million, showing 1.5% growth as compared to the last year’s corresponding period. However, Turkiyes’ imports from Iran in the same period reached US$451 million, recording a 21% decline as compared to the same period of last year.

2022’s bilateral trade between Iran and Turkey had amounted to US$6.420 billion, a 15% growth.

The main products that Turkey exports to Iran are Poultry Meat, Packaged Medicaments, and Seed Oils.

The main products that Iran exports to Turkey are Raw Aluminium, Ethylene Polymers, and Raw Zinc.

The January-February slowdown was due to increased difficulties in arranging trade due to Iranian sanctions and difficulties for Iranian traders in being able to pay for goods.
